Fly Tying with bill leuszler
Our Saturday tyers series continues with Bill Leuszler.
Bill moved to the area in 1981, and began his adventures in fly fishing around 1984. Soon after he was watching Leonard Wright tie at the Museum's original site in downtown Roscoe. His early tying lessons were with an Orange County group led by Bob Osburn.
He began selling flies wholesale to Paul Filipone at Donegals , Roscoe, for five years until the shop closed. He then tied for two years for Beaverkill Angler, until it changed hands.
Bill’s been a member of the Catskill Fly Tyers Guild for over 30 years.
His favorite place to fish is the Beaverkill and only uses traditional Patterns.
