He is considered the pioneer for northeastern Atlantic in shore fly fishing. He has been a highly regarded outdoors writer for the past forty plus years and. His book, Inshore Fly Fishing in 1992, provided the launch pad for the sky- rocketing interest in saltwater fly fishing. He remains active in many fly fishing organizations.
